If you’re on bed rest, turn towards meal delivery services that make cooking and preparing meals easy with peace of mind knowing you’re consuming enough calories and nutrients.

Surgery may leave you confined to your bed, couch, or chair. However, regularly moving is one of the best ways to recover faster. Avoid strenuous activities post-surgery, and instead, try to walk for 20 minutes every few hours. Doing so will increase blood flow, reduce the chances of constipation, and help you transition sooner to performing regular physical activity.

So, grab your toddler and bring him or her on a play date that will not only get you moving, but also get you out of the house! Or, go to your son’s sporting event and try walking some laps around the field or practice some physical therapy activities. The important thing is to simply get moving.

Note: You don’t want to perform any activities that cause pain or raise your heart rate above resting level, so be sure to talk to your doctor about physical limitations before getting started.

Recovering from surgery takes time. It could be surgery from your pregnancy, a cosmetic operation, or a standard procedure.
